This 4-days  precious safari combines two of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations: the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve and the stunning Lake Nakuru National Park. The safari provides a rich blend of wildlife encounters, breathtaking scenery, and memorable game viewing experiences. Masai Mara is celebrated for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five and the Great Migration (seasonal), while Lake Nakuru offers a peaceful environment known for its rhinos, flamingoes (seasonally), and beautifully diverse landscapes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with a morning pick up from Nairobi. You will then depart for Masai Mara, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley, where you will stop briefly for photos and sightseeing. Upon arrival in Masai Mara, you will check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, you will proceed for your first exciting game drive across the Mara plains. This game drive introduces you to the rich wildlife population of the reserve, including elephants, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, big cats, and countless plains game species. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2: Masai Mara – Full Day Game Drive

After an early breakfast, you will embark on a full day of game viewing inside the reserve. With your packed picnic lunch, you will explore different parts of the Mara, giving you the best opportunity to witness various wildlife behaviors, scenic river crossings, and breathtaking landscapes.

You may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and large herds of herbivores grazing peacefully. You will enjoy your picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing with the game drive. In the evening, return to your lodge for a warm dinner and overnight rest.

 

Day 3: Masai Mara – Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will check out and enjoy an en-route game drive as you exit the reserve. You will then drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will enter the park for a game drive around the lake shores, acacia forests, and open plains. Lake Nakuru is known for its rhino sanctuary, making it one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhinos. You may also see lions, waterbucks, giraffes, baboons, and many bird species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and enjoy a short en route morning game drive as you exit the park. You will then begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport, marking the end of your 4 Days Precious Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari.
